Jane Lombard Gallery is pleased to present not a tourist, a solo exhibition of new work from painter Carmen Neely. The exhibition will take place November 7th through December 14, 2019 with an opening reception held at the gallery on November 7th from 6-8pm

Oklahoma Art Education Association Annual Conference

The Oklahoma Art Education Association conference was held in Edmond, OK Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25^th & 26^th, 2019.

Bianca Martucci-Fink, recent graduate of Oklahoma State University Art History MA program, penned an article for the Fall 2019 edition of Art Focus magazine on the current exhibition at the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art curated by Dr. Mora Beauchamp-Byrd, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History at Oklahoma State University. 

Animating History at the OSU Museum of Art - Bianca Martucci-Fink

Mark Sisson of Stillwater, Okla., has been selected for the 2019 Irene Rosenzweig Biennial Juried Exhibition at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas (ASC) in Pine Bluff.
His prints “Portrait of Cameron Richardson: Peace, Piece” and “Portrait of Pouya Jahanshahi: Yearning to Breathe Free” are part of the juried exhibition showcasing mid-South artists. Both portraits incorporate three printmaking techniques: linocut, woodcut and lithograph.
The Rosenzweig exhibition opens Thursday, Oct. 10, with a free public reception from 5–7 p.m. Awards will be presented at 5:30.

Dr. Cristina Cruz González will be a featured panelist at the Gilcrease Museum Helmerich Center for American Research Nov. 1, 2019. 

20x20 Posters for a Peace, is a project that was cofounded by Pouya Jahanshahi and first exhibited at Gardiner Gallery in 2017. Since then it has traveled throughout the US, Mexico and Iran, displaying Posters for Peace from artists of these regions - as a sign of solidarity. This years exhibit travel to China for 2019 United Nations day for peace and joined with 20 posters of peace by Chinese designers, at the Wenzhou Library Gallery. 

Cat de Araújo will give a paper exploring photographer Chichico Alkmim’s Family portrait, c. 1910s, at the 2020 Brazilian Studies Association (BRASA) conference, hosted by the University of Texas at Austin’s LLILAS Benson Brazil Center. BRASA is an international, interdisciplinary group of scholars who support and promote Brazilian studies in all fields, especially in the humanities and social sciences. BRASA is dedicated to the promotion of Brazilian studies around the world in general, and in the United States in particular. The conference will be held March 26-28, 2020.
