Lora Webb (Art History BA, 2011), currently a Ph.D. student at Stanford University, has received the prestigious Kress Institutional Fellowship at the Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome.
The Fellowship supports Lora’s residency in Rome for two years, during which she will complete research on her dissertation “Kosmos Embodied: Eunuchs and Byzantine Art in the Ninth through Twelfth Centuries.” While in Rome she plans to see the objects about which she is writing and hopefully to discover more. She will also find and gather primary sources and connect with European scholars at the Hertziana and beyond. She also plans to devote some time to the all-important exploration of Italian cuisine. Congratulations Lora!
