A student at the Stillwater Junior High School, Jaymee Muns is on the profound end of the autism spectrum. From the beginning, the ability to communicate effectively has presented a great deal of difficulty for Jaymee. The impassable barrier between Jaymee and the world can be daunting and although others use words to breach this communication barrier, Jaymee has built her bridge through art. Sharing this passion with others can help increase awareness and understanding of people on the autism spectrum. We would like to share a glimpse of the world through her eyes.

Carolina Low, Self Portrait, Acrylics, 2010, Oklahoma Summer Art Institute

Tour de Quartz is a selection of artwork created by Oklahoma high school students during the 2010 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain (OSAI). During their two-week residency at Quartz Mountain, students are immersed in one of nine artistic fields and taught by world-renowned artists. The painting portion of the exhibition represents a variety of projects undertaken by the drawing/painting students during OSAI. This exhibition is organized for touring by OSAI.

Her works often play within the realm of film & photographic history, toying with the common currency of popular culture, our shared literacy & our fascination with mythic representation. For "Perfect Surf" Rogers was granted a prestigious Independent Artist Award in Film & Media by the New York State Council for the Arts.
