Planning Your Visit

Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive land-grant institution that is nationally known for its teaching, research, and outreach programs. Approximately 24,000 students are enrolled at the OSU-Stillwater campus and 3,500 at the OSU-Tulsa campus. The Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History has an enrollment of 270 majors taught by approximately 15 tenured/tenure-track and 5 adjunct faculty members. Currently, it offers BA degrees in Studio Art and Art History (with an MA in development) plus BFA degrees in Studio Art and Graphic Design. The Studio Arts Program includes 2D/3D Foundations, Painting/Drawing, Printmaking, Jewelry/Metals, Ceramics, and Sculpture. The Graphic Design Program offers three areas of specialization through a sophomore portfolio review process. The Art History Program has specialties in Asia Art and art of the Southwest. Facilities include fully equipped studios for all areas, large Mac/PC labs, a Visual Resource Center, a gallery for internal/external exhibitions, and a sizable permanent collection.
