Lopeeta Tawde won the Momentum Award at the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s Momentum Tulsa: Art Doesn’t Stand Still launched Saturday October 8th.
Our Art Department has nine student who were accepted into this years Momentum Tulsa exhibition. They are Cassie Brown, Kyle Duncan, Lopeeta Tawde, Krystal Harper, Hillarey Dees, Megan Curtis, Ben Trosper, Michael Rahn and Morgan McClellan.
Lora Webb, from Stillwater, is the Art History program's Outstanding Senior. She has been involved in several student government organizations at OSU, including most recently serving as the Chair of the Committee on Student Organization.
Skylar Smith (Liberal Studies with a dual focus in Art History and English Literature) is one of ten students who have been awarded the Bailey Family Memorial Trust Scholarship to study abroad at the University of Hertfordshire, located north of London in Hatfield.
Jacob Gilbreath's motion design project, completed for a Digital Design Studio assignment, has been making waves since it was completed and posted online a month ago. The piece is based on Conan O'Brien's farewell speech and consists entirely of 3D kinetic type.
