Fostering Community Culture: Celebrating Contributions and Cultivating Collaboration presented by Dr. Jennifer Borland
Are you reluctant to claim your achievements? Do you see other deserving colleagues also go unrewarded for their contributions? Promoting yourself can go hand-in-hand with promoting others. This presentation will offer some concrete ideas for better recognizing the range of contributions and achievements made by ourselves and our colleagues. With attention to mentoring, collaboration, and even crafting one’s CV, we will brainstorm ways to highlight a wider range of skills, experiences, and labor in academia. Indeed, by changing how you think about and value your own contributions, you will be better positioned to celebrate the work of others and develop a culture of collaboration.
