Jan Holzbauer, OSU Alumna Featured in The Cleveland American

Jan Holzbauer is featured in the May 19th online issue of The Cleveland American. She takes photographs, paintings and drawings and turns them into "thread paintings" as she states on her website.


 

Roger Disney, OSU Alumnus Exhibits at State Capitol

Tulsa artist Roger Disney's love of travel is showcased in the cityscapes which make up this exhibit, titled Cityscapes. His loose and expressive style of painting, achieved by the use of palette knives rather than brushes, gives life to the energy often found in downtown city areas.

Nick Mullins, OSU Alumnus Selected for the Talente 2011 Exhibition

Nick Mullins, 2009 OSU Art Dept. Graduate and now a second year metals graduate student at the University of Illinois, was recently selected for the Talente 2011 exhibition in Munich Germany. Talente is a showcase and competition for emerging artist who work in design and technology. It occurs as a special show during the International Trade Fair for the Skilled Trades in Munich each year. Nick was one of 96 designers from 28 countries that were chosen and only one of two Americans. The exhibit runs from March 16th-22nd, 2011.


 

OSU Alumnae Michelle E. Himes-McCrory and Kristin Gentry

OSU alumnae Kristin Gentry and Michelle E. Himes-McCrory are exhibiting prints in a show titled Inversion at the TAC Gallery in Tulsa. The TAC Gallery is located at 9 East Brady in the heart of the Brady Arts District. The Opening is
April 1st, 6 – 9pm. Gallery hours are Thursday – Saturday 6 -9 pm during the show.


 

Kate Johnson, OSU Alumna Featured in Tulsa People Magazine

 Kate Johnson is presently a master's candidate at the University of Tulsa School of Art. Her work is on display in the Myers Gallery of Living Arts in Tulsa, 307 East Brady Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event is included as part of the Brady Arts District's First Friday Program. The opening reception is April 1st, 2011 from 6 to 9pm. She is featured in the Gallery Hopper section of Tulsa People.
