Brandon was born in Easton, PA. With an interest in precise drawing, attention to detail, and processes, he chose to specialize in printmaking, specifically intaglio. He enjoys the results of the medium and occasionally its technical difficulties. He received his BFA from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2013, and his MFA from Kansas State University in 2017. Both of his degrees have an emphasis in Printmaking. Currently, he teaches drawing and printmaking at Oklahoma State University.
He primarily focuses on creating black and white etchings with contemporary techniques and approaches. His imagery emphasizes the past of locations and captures the complexity and beauty of their current decay or growth. Memory, both semantic and episodic influence his work. The continuous power struggle of life in the natural world and society inspire him. His prints deal with his interests, surroundings, and subjects such as, time, conflict, and change.
These works have been shown nationally and internationally in both juried and invitational exhibitions. Many of them have been published, won awards, and are in permanent and private collections. He continues to create prints to this day. His art can be viewed on his website brandonwilliamsart.com
